電子音樂, 已經走到後舞廳時期. 太多好的電子音樂, 在舞廳裡聽不到. 在激動的世紀末藥物文化之後, 還剩下多少最初對電子音樂的感動?
回歸原點, 重新感受電子音樂吧! 藉由一系列小party, 讓更多人聽到非舞場的, 精采的電子音樂

不傾向舞場音樂的原因, 是把自己和聽眾定位在未開發的想像中.
跳舞文化已經遲滯不前, 而非跳舞的族群已經在穩定成長中.
這是我們在陳舊中的小嘗試

[What Do We Want?]
在台中, 舉辦每月一次以非舞廳電子音樂為主的一系列party.
表演者包括DJ以及電子音樂創作者,

從瑞舞狂潮到2004, 從Techno到Trance到D’n’B到Trip-Hop到Abstract到Lounge, 對電子的熱情不變.
我們自己掏腰包, 不以營利為目的, 花時間花力氣花精神, 只想回到對電子音樂最初的感動.

一起搞吧!

[我們的原則]
*財務透明, 不以營利為目的, 一切收入支出都公開在網站上.
*低調, 平穩, 持續, 打死都要辦下去
*不曲高和寡, 不隨波逐流. 在藝術/學術/潮流中, 找到一個平衡.
*不論音樂類型, 只要引起共鳴感動, 都被認同
*尊重表演者, 負擔表演者基本費用
*收取合理入場費, 以尊重活動和表演者. 因為看過太多過度廉價, 而不被尊重的活動

如果你是DJ, 想要與更多人分享令你感動, 卻又不能在舞廳放的電音, 請聯絡我們.
如果你是電音創作者, 想要與聽眾更直接分享你的感動, 請聯絡我們.
如果你是地下音樂創作者, 有受過很多現代電子音樂影響者, 請連絡我們.
如果你是影像創作者(VJ),且能認同這項活動者, 請連絡我們.
如果你認可我們的熱情, 想要給予任何形式的幫忙, 我們都感激.
如果真是凡塵俗事太多, 就讓我們party見吧!
*我們相信每一個表演都應該得到實質上的尊重. 我們會負擔基本的表演費用與車馬費, 雖然不多, 但代表我們對每位表演者的誠意與感激

[招募artist詳述部分]
要找的DJ或音樂人, 較傾向於地下實驗者/臥房自閉症/視聽狂熱份子/現代另類媒體推廣者.
並不是全部, 絕對接受職場的DJ或已有影響力的音樂人, 主要還是音樂類型希望比較偏音樂性.
所以您帶的唱片是很重要的一環, 我們希望比較不跳舞的音樂, 或說比較有創造性的.
當然決不會過份要求音樂類型　所以只要音樂能給予感動, 或者類似周遭比較少人聽過的都是非常歡迎. 但是如果有比較極端或藝術的傾向(如噪音/實驗/具象/極簡/IDM/抽象等), 請一定要事先跟我們做好溝通, 然後把傳達(活動宣傳)的部分盡量做好.

協定部分：
1. Artist的表演費用為兩個小時1500元(外地2000元). 基本上這部分支出是由我們承擔的.
2. 關於入場50元收費和飲料收入皆要作租用場地費用(因為來的人頂多30~50人), 所以這部分收入不多但跟店家有協議好. 所以不用多支付
3. 另外如果有非DJ的表演者(地下團樂手/臥房創作者)　基本上表演是半個小時500元(外地一樣加500車費)
4. 請務必要遵照自己的喜好來撥放音樂, 這點我們真的不會要求你, 只要你能把感動自己的東西拿出, 而這也才接近活動的方向(重新認識電音, 回到原點去感受)

[場地說明]
ESCAPE Lounge: 一貳樓皆沙發區無包廂, 二樓中間為天井, 可看到一樓
裝潢走紅綠色系, 塊狀沙發和地毯拼貼營造暗冷氣息, 後有戶外綠色休憩庭園
器材：Numark TT200唱盤兩台　pioneer CDJ100S兩台　BEHRINGER VMX300 3ch MIXER一台
DJ台與吧台是一貫式, 可能會有小小的空間不適
一樓一對主區喇叭是BOSS301, 二樓的一對是BOSS401, 後院chill out area是DAS監聽一對
四對14吋液晶螢幕可供表演者或VJ做程度上影像表演, 但畫面太小, 可能影響不大

[希望音樂方向]
以下部分僅供參考　沒有強迫
雖說比較偏向音樂性, 實際上面對的應屬群眾性質, 而不是純粹學術性的方向
所以站在看似潮流卻又有其發展性的立場來處理　我們希望能堅持它音樂性的主題
一.IDM music：indie dance / folktronica / alternative beats / Experimental

二.音樂性高的dancable music：Jazz / Deep / Ambient / Illbient / Abstract / Minamal / Trip Hop

其他分類也在其中　如house/techno/drum&bass/breaks/trance…等

01 Don’t Stay in The Past!!

DJ/Performer Needed!!

[About Back to Basic]
This is a party series which will be held in Taichung monthly. The focus will be on non-discotheque electronic music (IDM, melodic, lounge, etc.). Artists will include DJs and electronic musicians.

[Why Are We Doing This?]
Electronic music has come to the post-clubbing era. There are too many excellent electronic music that you cannot find on the disco floor. After agitating end-of-the-century ecstasy culture, how much sentiment of the music itself is still there?
Back to basic, feel electronic music again. Via a series of small parties, we want more people to know more about non-discoth嫭ue yet fantastic electronic music.

[About Us]
From rave-era to 2004, from Techno to trance to D’n’B to trip-hop to abstract to lounge, we are those stubborn guys who have never changed our passion for electronica.
We all live in Taichung. We are not doing this for profit. We just want to come back to the very first time when we are first touched by the electronic music itself.

Join us!!!

[Objectives]
*Financial transparency and non-for-profit. Financial records will be post on the website.
*Low-key, stable, and consistent.
*No off-ground, no time-serving, find a balance in mainstream/underground
*Any music type will be accepted if it’s good
*We pay performers for the reason of respect
*Basic entrance fee will be charged. We have seen to many activities lost its quality and dignity just because they are too cheap.

[We Need You!!]
If you are a DJ, and want to share music with people that you cannot play in the discotheque, please contact us.
If you are a bedroom musician, want to share your talented work with more people, please contact us.
If you are a underground musician who is deeply affected by electronic music, please contact us.
If you are a VJ and recognize this event, please contact us.
If you just want to give us a hand, please contact us and any kind of help will be really appreciated.
If you are really too busy for all that, let’s meet on the party!!
[Details about Recruitment]
We prefer DJ or musicians who are more underground-oriented. However, we don’t mean to exclude professional DJs. There are no constraints on music type, but music that is different from what you can usually find in a dance club is preferred.
Although we’ve set some limits, please just play any electronic music that you feel is great.
However, if more “extreme” type of music (ex. music concrete, noise, minimal) is going to be played, please tell us in advance. So we can make flyers, posters, decorations, and other preparation that will suit more for your performance.

[How We pay]

1. We pay NT 1,500 for DJs who live in Taichung, and NT 2,000 for DJs from out side of Taichung. (2 hours)
2. Entrance fee will be NT50 for every audience.
3. We pay NT 500 every half-hour for artists who are not a DJ, with extra NT 500 if from out side of Taichung.
4. Please really play what you want to play. Only music that moves the performer moves the audience. And this is also essential to our event—back to basic.

DJ table is inside the bar, thus a little bit crowded.

4 pairs of 14” LSD screens linked to the DJ area for VJ performance.
